Connecting Client RedBeam Application to Existing SQL Database

Issue: Attaching RedBeam Database to an Existing SQL Server
Generally Caused By: Customer wanting to use their existing SQL Server
Level of Complexity: Medium
Install and launch the RedBeam application on a client machine.
Upon launch, the application will ask “Will the data be stored on this machine”. Select No.
You will be asked to enter the user ID (SA) and password for your SQL Server.
Next click the Server tab.
Select Use a SQL Server not installed by this application check box at the bottom of the screen.
If your server does not not display, you may enter the server name or IP address if known, followed by the credentials for the ‘sa’ account.
When done, click OK. The application will launch and you will be connected to your main server database. If connection is not successful, proceed to Step 16.
