Getting Started With Mobile RFID

Who This Section Is For This section applies only to RedBeam RFID workflows. If you use standard asset tracking without RFID, you can skip this section.

Supported Hardware Setup RedBeam currently supports the Zebra TC52 mobile device connected to the Zebra RFD40 sled via the 8-pin eConnex setup.

Prerequisite: Securely mount the TC52 onto the RFD40 sled before launching RedBeam.

Reading Power Settings By default, the RFID reader power is set to maximum range for Update and Inventory functions. You can adjust read distance as needed using the Power slider on the Assign RFID screen.

Accessing the Application

Ensure your supported mobile RFID device has the RedBeam Mobile RFID app installed.
Tap the RedBeam icon on the home screen or in the All Apps menu to open the application.

Logging In

Enter your login credentials on the sign-in screen.
If you forget your password, tap Forgot Password? and enter your registered email address to receive reset instructions.
