Your assets can be added or updated from a rugged scanner or other Android\iOS devices. Simply open and login to RedBeam on the device by clicking the shortcut from the home screen or by opening Chrome and entering app.redbeam.com. Once logged in, you’ll see the Update screen, and from here, you can scan the barcode to see that asset’s details. Make any changes you would like to and click Save.
To add new assets from the device, simply scan the asset’s barcode from the Update screen. Then you will see a blank detail page with that asset id already entered. Add any details you would like to associate with the asset and click Save.
Keep in mind that the device will sync updates in real time as long as the device is connected to the internet via WiFi or cellular network. If the device is completely offline with no internet connection, those updates will be saved on the browser until the internet connection is reestablished, at which point the device will automatically sync your updates and newly added assets.
