Setting Up People

Asset records have multiple attribute options, many of which are set up as dropdowns including Departments, People, Projects, Asset Types, Manufacturers, Models, Vendors, Accounts, Conditions, and Statuses.


People refer to those of whom assets may be assigned or checked out to.

To create a Person, click the image-png-Oct-19-2021-08-07-49-62-PM button and enter:

  • Name – This is created when the record is first saved. This field will then become view-only and will display in the Person drop-down accessed in other parts of the application. It combines the Last Name, First Name, Middle Name and Person ID fields, in that order. 
  • First Name
  • Middle Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Job Title
  • Person ID
  • Address 1
  • Address 2
  • City
  • State
  • Country
  • Zip Code
  • Phone
  • Mobile
  • Fax


Click Save to create the Person.

To edit or delete a Person, click on it in the grid and make the desired changes.

To import Person information, click the image-png-Oct-19-2021-07-57-17-10-PM button and follow the import steps.

To export Person information, click the image-png-Oct-19-2021-07-50-43-38-PM button and follow the export steps.

If using a supported barcode label printer, Person ID labels can be printed from the People screen.

To print labels, check the boxes next to the desired people.

Then click the printicon icon and select the desired Printer and Label Template.

If the desired Zebra printer is not visible from the Printer drop-down menu, follow these steps to connect it.

Users will then see a preview of the labels to be printed.

Click Print to print the labels.
